Web Trading Soution Troubleshooting Guide

For Internet Explorer 6.xx or above:

Please make sure:

  1. You have installed JRE (Java). If not, you can install it by selecting 'Settings' or 'Download & Install Java (JRE)' on main Web Trading Page.
  2. Your browser supports 128-bit SSL encryption Tecnology.

If the problem is still unresolved, Please try the following :

  1. Go to Internet Options.
  2. In General tab under Temporary Internet Files Click Delete Files.

Also, Go to Advanced Tab.

  1. Click Restore Defaults button.
  2. Click OK and Restart the browser and try logging on again.
  3. In Security section, Uncheck the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option. If already unchecked do nothing.

 

The procedure to install the JAVA (JRE)

Download and Install

  1. Go to http://java.com
  2. Click Manual Download under Download Java Software.
  3. Click Download next to (Manual Installation).
  4. Dialog box: File Download
  5. Click Save.
  6. Dialog box: Save As
  7. Choose the folder location.
  8. (Save the file to a known location on your computer, for example, to your desktop).
  9. Click Save.
  10. Dialog box: Save As
    File * already exists. Do you want to replace it?
  11. Click Yes.
  12. Check that the:
  13. Close all applications including the browser.
  14. Double-click on the saved file icon to start the installation process.



  15. Note: Your computer must remain connected to the Internet during the installation.


The installer "unpacks" the files needed to continue. A dialog box tracks this process, which takes less than a minute. After briefly displaying a Java logo splash screen, the installer presents the license agreement.

The installer displays a Setup Type screen that allows you to choose either a typical or custom setup. We recommend that you choose the Typical option (the default selection) unless you are an advanced user who wants more precise control over the components that will be installed.

After ensuring that the Typical setup is selected, click the Next button to continue with the installation.


Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Software License Agreement

If Internet Explorer is set as the default browser on your system, then the Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10 – Google Programs dialog box will appear. By default Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer is checked. Click Next button. This will start installing selected programs features including the JRE on your system.
Note: You can choose to install or ignore this useful additional program by checking or unchecking the check box.

Now that you have given the installer all of the information it needs to proceed, progress boxes track the installation process.

A few brief dialogs confirm the last steps of the installation process, and a concluding message appears with the confirmation "Installation Completed OK."

The procedure to Enable & Configure JAVA (JRE)

**** To Enable JAVA from Control Panel ****

To see whether your browser is configured to use the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or not, first open the Windows Control Panel. From the Start menu button, select Settings, then Control Panel to open the Control Panel. You should see the Java Coffee Cup logo icon in the Control Panel.

  1. Double-click the icon to open the Java Control Panel.
  2. In the Java Control Panel, click the Advanced tab.
  3. Under Settings, click on + icon against <Applet> tag support.
  4. Make sure the box next to Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Mozilla is checked.
  5. If it is not checked, click the checkbox to enable the JRE for your Web browser.
  6. Click Apply.
If you do not see the coffee cup icon in the Windows Control Panel, you do not have the latest version of the Sun JRE installed on your computer.


**** To Enable JAVA from browser ****

Please follow these instructions to enable the Sun JRE though your Web browser:

Internet Explorer 4.x and Up

  1. Click "Tools" --> "Internet Options"
  2. Select the Advanced Tab, and scroll down to "Java (Sun)"
  3. Check the box next to the "Use Java 2" version
  4. Next, select the Security Tab, then select 'Internet' zone
  5. Click "Custom Level" button
  6. Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets"
  7. Make sure the "Enable" radio button is checked.
  8. Click OK to save your preference.
  9. Next, select the Security Tab, then select 'Trusted sites' zone
  10. Click on "Sites" button
  11. Add this web site to the zone, Click "Add" button
  12. Click Close


Mozilla 1.x
  1. From the menu bar, choose Edit --> Preferences
  2. Select the Advanced category
  3. Check the box labeled "Enable Java"
  4. Click OK to save your preference.


Netscape 7.x
  1. From the menu bar, choose Edit --> Preferences
  2. Select the Advanced category
  3. Check the box labeled "Enable Java"
  4. Click OK to save your preference.


Other Web Browsers

Firefox 0.8 and Up
  1. Start Mozilla Firefox browser or restart it if it is already running.
  2. Select Tools > Options.
  3. Dialog box: Options
  4. Click Content > Select Enable Java


AOL 3.x and Up

  1. Opera for Windows does not use the Sun JRE, but an embedded version already inside the Opera Web browser.
  2. Opera for other platforms may support Java software through the use of the Sun JRE. Please consult your Opera platform documentation.
