Pakistan and UAE Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral ties, with a focus on expanding economic cooperation, trade and investment across key sectors. The announcement came during a meeting at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and UAE Ambassador Salem Mohammed Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi.
The meeting highlighted the longstanding and brotherly relations between the two countries and emphasized exploring new avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration. Prime Minister Sharif welcomed the UAE envoy, congratulated him on his recent appointment, and expressed appreciation for the decades-long friendship, mutual respect and close cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.
The Prime Minister also conveyed his best wishes for the UAE leadership and expressed anticipation for the upcoming visit of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to Pakistan. During discussions, both sides stressed the importance of enhancing trade and economic partnerships in sectors such as energy, minerals, information technology, railways, and aviation.
Prime Minister Sharif invited increased UAE investment in Pakistan’s key sectors to support economic growth and stability, acknowledging the UAE’s continued support through humanitarian assistance and development projects.
Ambassador Al Zaabi thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception, conveyed greetings from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to further strengthen cooperation with Pakistan across all spheres. Both sides agreed to continue working closely to identify new opportunities for trade, investment, and mutual development.
