SECP Approves FY27’s First IPO as Tasdeeq Information Services Heads to PSX

SECP has approved the FY27's first IPO, allowing Tasdeeq Information Services to offer 219 million shares through the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved the first Initial Public Offering (IPO) of fiscal year 2026-27, allowing Tasdeeq Information Services Limited to proceed with its listing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The regulator approved the issuance, publication and distribution of the company's prospectus, clearing the way for the public offering. Tasdeeq Information Services is a State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)-licensed credit bureau that provides credit information and data services to financial institutions, helping them assess borrowers' creditworthiness and manage lending risks.

Under the IPO, the company will offer 219 million shares through the book-building process, where the final offer price will be determined based on investor demand. As per the offering structure, 75% of the shares will be allocated to institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals, while the remaining 25% will be available to retail investors.

The SECP said ongoing regulatory reforms, faster approval timelines and greater digitalisation have improved access to Pakistan's capital market for companies seeking growth financing. The regulator added that simplified procedures are encouraging more businesses to raise capital through the stock market while strengthening the country's capital market ecosystem.

The approval marks FY27's first IPO, signalling renewed activity in Pakistan's primary equity market amid improving investor participation and continued efforts to enhance market efficiency.
