PSX Market Closing Summary for 24 December 2025 showing KSE-100 Index decline and traded volume details

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended Wednesday’s session on a negative note as the benchmark KSE-100 Index closed at 170,830.22, down by 243.51 points. The market remained under pressure throughout the day due to subdued investor participation and continued profit-taking.

Trading activity stayed muted, reflecting a cautious stance by investors amid the approaching year-end. Overall sentiment remained mixed, with selective buying in a few stocks unable to offset broader selling pressure.

The total traded value stood at Rs. 19.82 billion, while total market volume reached 319.89 million shares, highlighting reduced liquidity compared to previous sessions.

On the volume front, PIBTL and BOP closed higher on steady buying interest, while AHCL also posted gains. In contrast, PIAHCLA witnessed significant selling pressure, and KEL remained under stress during the session.

Market participants are expected to remain cautious in the near term as trading activity typically slows during the year-end period.
