Sindh Modaraba announces half-year financial results FY26

Sindh Modaraba has announced its financial results for the six-month period ended December 31, 2025 (1HFY26), reporting a profit after tax of Rs75.57 million, compared to Rs106.13 million in the corresponding period last year, according to a filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Earnings per certificate for the half year declined to Rs1.68, from Rs2.36 in 1HFY25, reflecting lower income from diminishing musharaka and higher administrative and operating expenses during the period.

Total income from financing and investments stood at Rs153.01 million, down from Rs183.26 million last year. Income from diminishing musharaka declined to Rs128.54 million, while income from Morabaha, Sukuk, and bank deposits provided partial support to revenues.

Administrative and operating expenses increased to Rs53.39 million, compared to Rs42.99 million in the same period last year. However, a reversal of provision against financing amounting to Rs13.48 million helped offset cost pressures.

For the three-month period ended December 31, 2025 (2QFY26), Sindh Modaraba reported a profit of Rs39.18 million, with EPS of Rs0.87, compared to Rs56.85 million and EPS of Rs1.26 in the corresponding quarter last year.

The Modaraba also announced a profit distribution of Rs1.35 per certificate (13.5%) for the half year, reflecting continued cash generation despite lower earnings.

As of December 31, 2025, total assets stood at Rs2.06 billion, while certificate holders’ equity increased to Rs2.01 billion, supported by retained earnings and disciplined balance sheet management.

The results highlight Sindh Modaraba’s stable financial position, though profitability moderated due to softer income from core financing activities during the period.
