The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered a record 5,438 new companies in July 2026, marking the highest monthly company registrations in the country's history and reflecting continued growth in Pakistan's corporate sector.
According to the SECP, five foreign companies also established offices in Pakistan during the month, while businesses from Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and China entered the country to conduct commercial activities. Additionally, 112 newly registered companies included foreign directors.
Among the newly incorporated entities, 3,148 were private limited companies, 2,117 single-member companies, 127 limited liability partnerships (LLPs), 28 non-profit organizations, and 18 public companies.
Province-wise, Punjab accounted for the largest share of registrations with 2,756 companies, representing 51% of the total. Islamabad followed with 1,053 companies, while Sindh registered 864, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 450, Gilgit-Baltistan 180, and Balochistan 135 new companies.
Sector-wise, the Information Technology (IT) industry led the registrations with 1,008 new companies, highlighting continued momentum in Pakistan's technology sector.
Other major sectors included trading (845 companies), services (638), construction (348), food and beverages (256), tourism (207), e-commerce (181), education (165), real estate development (162), and corporate agriculture (145).
The latest figures underscore sustained entrepreneurial activity and growing business formalization, with the technology sector continuing to drive new company incorporations across Pakistan.
